An image forming apparatus corrects the intensity of a beam to expose a photosensitive member with a simple structure. The image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum and an optical scan device which includes a plurality of semiconductor laser sources which emit the beam to expose the photosensitive drum and a memory which stores first correction data to correct the intensity of the beam with a method which is related to each semiconductor laser source. A CPU outputs second correction data which is commonly used for correcting the intensity of the beam from the semiconductor laser source to the optical scan device. A laser driving IC which is provided in the optical scan device controls the intensity of the beam from each semiconductor laser source based on the first correction data and the second correction data.
