The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a glass plate in which the generation of striae on the glass is suppressed. The method comprises the step of stirring molten glass (7) in a chamber (1) by rotating a stirring member (2) around a shaft (5) as a rotary shaft. In the stirring process, a method is provided for manufacturing a glass plate, comprising the step of mounting the shaft to change the shearing stress applied to the molten glass by the lateral side (1b) and blades (6a-6e) of the stirring member with respect to the circumference direction of the lateral side during the stirring process. |
