PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit gel formation in an extruder and to hardly occur distribution of thick film in the film produced while forming a film by fusion method using a cyclic olefin resin. SOLUTION: The process comprises: a melting step to heat and melt a cyclic olefin thermoplastic resin by a twin screw extruder 22, a feeding step to extrude the heat molten resin from a single screw extruder 23 and feed to a molding die 24, and a molding step to form a film by spouting the molten resin in film shape from the molding die 24 to a cooling drum 26 and then cooling.
