<p>An exhaust after-treatment system consists of exhaust gas particle filter arranged in the exhaust stream of the internal combustion engine. The particle filter is a ceramic filter. The particle filter has high surface area on its downstream side than the outflow side. The particle filter contains catalyst material which reduces nitrogen oxide, at least in the high surface region.</p> |
