Drive unit for a mobile vehicle

The drive has a motor (1) whose rotary axis is arranged at a distance to a rotary axis of a vehicle wheel. The motor drives the vehicle wheel using a spur gear (4). Spur wheels (3, 5) of the spur gear stands in effective connection with a speed sensor (11) so that the sensor provides a speed signal that raises the speed of the motor. A position sensor is arranged in a gear box (10) in an area of the spur wheel (3).
