METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CERAMIC PRODUCT USING FLY ASH AS A RAW MATERIAL

The invention relates to a method for obtaining a clay product from fly ash, characterized in that it comprises at least the steps of: obtaining a mixture of clay and fly ash, with a percentage of ash equal to or lower than 50 wt.-% or equal to or lower than 75 vol.-% of the end product; adding phosphoric acid and grinding the mixture; and adding hydrated sodium silicate (Na 2 O) n (SiO 2 ) m (H 2 O) and grinding the mixture. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing ceramic materials using the aforementioned clay product as a raw material, and to the resulting clay product and ceramic material. In addition, the invention relates to the use of fly ash in order to obtain a clay product and to the use of said product in the manufacture of ceramic materials.
