<p>A method of manufacturing a liquid-circulation-operated heating radiator, in which radiator plates 1, 2 form the water channels (5 in fig 2) and a cover plate 3 covers the front surface of a radiator frame 4. The edges of the cover plate and the radiator plates are fastened to one another by seam welding in the same working phase. Prior to seam welding the edges, the cover plate and radiator plate 2 are simultaneously pressed to shape, one on top of the other, the cover plate 3 and the radiator plate 2 are then separated from one another, the pressed radiator plate 2 and at least one other radiator plate 1 are joined together to form the water channels (5). The joining of plates 1 & 2 to form water channel (5) may be carried out by spot welding at least in an area inside their edges. Finally the front surface of the radiator frame 4 formed from the radiator plates are provided with the cover plate 3 and the seam welding is performed. The radiator plates may be formed so that plates 2 & 3 have substantially smooth surfaces and radiator plate 1 is profiled. The method may also include a process where a vacuum is created between the radiator frame and cover plate which tightly fastens the cover plate to the radiator plate during welding.</p> |
