The present invention relates to a temperature sensor protecting device which enables the extension of service time of an optical temperature sensor, which measures the inner temperature of an exterior material casted in the manufacture of a rolling roll with a horizontal centrifugal-casting method, by protecting the optical temperature sensor from a severe environment and the prevention of damage to the optical temperature sensor caused by touching molten steel. The temperature sensor protecting device includes a protective member with a hollow external housing unit of which one end is open and an internal housing unit which is fitted inside the external housing when the optical temperature sensor is fitted into the hollow inside of the external housing unit; and a position adjusting member which vertically elevates and horizontally moves the protective member.
