In a shutter glass driving method, an average gray scale value of the image data displayed on a display panel is analyzed. According to the average gray scale values of the image data, the opening time is controlled by the time when a left-eye shutter part and a right-eye shutter part of a shutter glass, including the left-eye shutter part corresponding to the left-eye and the right-eye shutter part corresponding to the right-eye, are opened at the same time. Thus, the utility of the shutter glass is increased and the realism improved.
