PURPOSE: A robot cleaner, an operation method thereof, and a remote control system are provided to indicate to the robot cleaner for distinguishing between case of remote controlling the robot cleaner through the terminal device and case of controlling the robot cleaner in a main body of the robot cleaner. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner comprises a connection monitoring sensor, a control unit, and an output unit. The connection monitoring sensor monitors connection status of an external device. The control unit performs connection approval procedure with respect to connection request of the external device, checks connection authority of the external device, and generates a feedback signal corresponding to the connection status. The output unit outputs one or more feedback signals through an output member.
