USE OF A RECOMBINANT VECTOR ENCODING IL-10 FOR TREATING NEUROPATHIC PAIN

Described are agents and compositions for use in the treatment of neuropathic pain in a vertebrate subject. Specifically described is a recombinant vector selected from a replication-defective recombinant virus or a plasmid, comprising a polynucleotide comprising a coding sequence for IL-10 operably linked to expression control elements that result in expression of the polynucleotide in vivo. Intrathecal delivery of the recombinant vector is also specifically described.
