PURPOSE: A novel elastase inhibitor isolated from Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae and a composition containing the same for preventing and treating aging are provided to suppress human neutrophile elastase(HNE) expression. CONSTITUTION: A novel pleurone compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the compound of chemical formula 1 comprises: a step of extracting Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae using water, alcohol of C1-4, or a mixture thereof to prepare Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae extract; a step of fractioning the extract with water, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate; and a step of performing column chromatography of the ethyl acetate fraction using an organic solvent. A cosmetic composition for preventing and treating skin aging contains the compound of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. |
