This is a child friendly cake knife with an animal shaped handle to be used for cutting birthday and any other celebration cakes. I t has a small grip to allow the child to grip the knife manually by placing his fingers and palm around the handle shaped as an elephants body. Then by placing the blade lengthwise on the cake surface and pushing down horizontally using his own strength the cake will be cut. The plastic material used is safe for food use. It is also lightweight to enable a young child to lift it. The whole object is also made of plastic to ensure it cannot cause a cut or injury to the child. The blade itself has semi circular blunt edges sufficient to cut a cake but safe enough to prevent injury to the child. The knife uses an animal shape to provide an attractive concept to the child. The feet of the animal are sufficiently wide to enable to knife to stand up on those feet. The knife has a hole in the eye of the animal to allow a bow or ribbon to be tied to the item to reiterate the celebration where the knife is being used and to enhance the product appeal to the child. |
