PURPOSE: A bio-electrochemical waste water disposal plant and a method of the same, capable of the simultaneous removal of the organic matter and the organic nitrogen, is provided to increase the moving speed of ammonia by forming an electric field in a reduction electrode installed at an anaerobic tank, improve waste water disposal capacity and, reduce the processing time. CONSTITUTION: The bio-electrochemical wastewater disposal plant comprises an anaerobic tank in which the waste water flows into, an aerobic tank connected with the anaerobic tank, a cation exchange membrane, and an electric-potential device. The cation exchange membrane is arranged between the anaerobic tank and the aeration tank. The electric-potential device comprises the reduction electrode arranged in the anaerobic tank and the oxidation electrode arranged in the aerobic tank. Using the electric potential difference generated in the cathode installed at anaerobic tank and anode installed at aeration tank. The ammonia generated from the waste water or included in the waste water passes from the anaerobic tank to the aeration tank through the cation exchange membrane. The passage rate is improved by a potential difference generated from the reduction electrode arranged in the anaerobic tank and the oxidation electrode arranged in the aerobic tank.
