The present invention relates to a device and method for formatting a three-dimensional image in an electronic device. The electronic device comprises one or more processors, a memory and one or more programs which is stored in the memory and is configured to be executed by the processor. The program respectively rotates a left image and a right image included in image data in the reference direction as much as the single rotation size to be stored in a first buffer, lists the left image and right image stored in the first buffer in the reference size in the alternative manner and rotates the left image and right image listed in the reference size in the alternative manner in the reference direction as much as the double rotation size to comprise one or more commands for formatting the three-dimensional image.
