The present invention suggests methods for encoding and decoding a multi-view video through inter prediction and inter-view prediction for a picture of each view in a multi-view video. The multi-view video prediction encoding method according to the present invention comprises: determining a reference picture set which includes a reference picture set including short term/long term restored pictures among same-view restored pictures which have been restored prior to a current picture and a reference picture set which includes a short term restored picture among different-view restored pictures which have been restored prior to the current picture; determining at least one reference list among a first and a second reference list which include same-view restored pictures for inter prediction of the current picture and restored pictures for inter-view prediction; determining at least one reference picture and at least one reference block for a current block of the current picture using one or more determined reference list; and performing at least one among inter prediction and inter-view prediction for the current block using the reference block.
