The present invention relates to a convergence sound absorbing material and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a convergence sound absorbing material and a manufacturing method thereof which significantly lower manufacturing costs and obtain excellent sound absorbing performance in comparison with an existing sound absorbing material by filling an intermediate layer of a PET sound absorbing material with a filler which contains low melting point PET fiber, regular PET fiber, and chip foam; and double the cost reduction by recycling waste felt in a cutting process for the sound absorbing material as the filler.
