PURPOSE: A digital video recorder and a control method thereof are provided to use a limited storage space efficiently with reduction of data capacity by taking a photograph of images with various qualities according to significance of an event. CONSTITUTION: A sensing unit(110) senses generation of an event. An importance decision unit(120) decides significance of a sensed event. According to the significance, a photographing condition setting unit(130) configures photographing condition. According to the set photographing conditions, a photographing unit(140) takes a photograph of an image. A storage unit(150) stores the photographing conditions and the photographed images according to the significance. |
