PURPOSE: A histogram formation apparatus and a method thereof are provided to use a system clock as a memory clock by adjusting the amount of input data, and to reduce design complexity with a low-power design. CONSTITUTION: A down-sampling unit(120) decrease a sampling rate of image data in one frame, which is outputted from an image sensor. A memory control unit(132) measures a luminance value about down-sampled pixel. A memory control part leas the measured luminance value as an address. The memory control part records a value assigned to the lead address. A memory(131) records the assigned value on the address of the luminance value by the memory control part. |
