PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for rotary electric machine, capable of achieving highly precise control even when applied to a rotary electric machine installed on a vehicle or the like in which a load varies.SOLUTION: The controller for rotary electric machine is configured so that a phase difference detection unit detects a phase difference between an induced voltage of an armature winding and an output of a magnetic pole position sensor RS in a rotary electric machine 4 to correct an output of the magnetic pole position sensor RS on the basis of the detected phase difference and control a power conversion unit 3 on the basis of the corrected output.
