PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine inhibiting simultaneous achievement of a special prize symbol pattern and another prize symbol pattern without restricting a prize line or symbol arrangement, and increasing the player's expectation for the achievement of the special prize symbol pattern according to the display pattern in a variable display area.SOLUTION: A slot machine includes cherry symbol prize patterns (1) and (2) achieved by stopping a symbol "cherry" on a left reel, and stopping a symbol "bell" or a symbol "replay" on a right reel so as to be positioned on the same prize line as the symbol "cherry", and on the left reel, symbols are arranged so that a symbol "black 7" constituting a special symbol prize pattern and the symbol "cherry" constituting the cherry symbol prize patterns (1) and (2) are simultaneously stopped on different prize lines.
