This metal-air cell (1) comprises a separation mechanism (14) which separates metallic ions in an electrolytic solution (13). By extracting the separation mechanism including a pre-separated metal, it is possible to facilitate recycling a metal from a used metal-air cell. Additionally, this method for recovering metal from the used metal-air cell comprises: a step of recovering a metal by extracting the separation mechanism (14) from the used metal-air cell (1).
