Provided are a color material dispersion capable of forming a coating with exceptional heat resistance and light resistance at high brightness, a colored resin composition for a color filter capable of forming a colored layer with exceptional heat resistance and light resistance at high brightness, a color filter formed using the colored resin composition for a color filter, and a liquid-crystal display device and an organic light-emitting display device having the color filter. The color dispersion contains a colorant expressed by general formula (I), a dispersant, and a solvent for which the degree of solubility of the colorant at 23°C is no more than 0.1 (mg/10 g of solvent); molybdenum and tungsten being included in the polyacid anion of the color material, and the ratio in moles between the molybdenum and the tungsten being 0.4:99.6 to 15:85 (the reference symbols used in general formula (I) are the same as those disclosed in the specification of the present invention).
