PURPOSE: An antenna impedance matching apparatus in a radio communications system and a method thereof are provided to effectively use transmission power of an antenna. CONSTITUTION: A receiver receives power control information. The power control information comprises information for controlling transmission power of a mobile terminal. A matching controller (308) produces matching control information for antenna impedance match based on the power control information. An antenna matching unit (306) performs the antenna impedance match according to the produced matching control information.
