PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater capable of preventing supply of hot water of the temperature different from the preset temperature when the failure of a hot water side flow rate sensor for sensing the flow rate of hot water to be supplied from a hot water storage tank occurs.SOLUTION: A hot water side flow rate sensor failure detection part 122 detects any failure of a hot water side flow rate sensor 27. A failure coping part 125 stops the supply of hot water from a hot water storage tank 11 to a hot water supply pipe 13 by a hot water mixing valve 21 when the failure of the hot water side flow rate sensor 27 is detected, makes the condition that only the water from a water supply bypass pipe 34 is supplied to the hot water supply pipe 13, prohibits the performance of the mixing temperature adjustment control by a temperature adjustment control part 121 irrespective of the sensed temperature by a tank hot water supply temperature sensor 26, and makes the temperature adjustment control part 121 perform only the heating temperature adjustment control. |
