PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective sleeve for balloon catheters that can selectively perform the protection and the exposure of the balloon of a balloon catheter.SOLUTION: An expansion fluid is injected into an expansion part 23 arranged on the inner periphery of a balloon-housing tube 22 of a protective sleeve 2 for balloon catheters so that the expansion part 23 is expanded toward the central axis of the balloon-housing tube 22, thereby closing the distal end side and the proximal end side of a balloon 12 respectively by the expansion part 23 and restricting the movement of the balloon 12 to the outside of the balloon-housing tube 22. Meanwhile, the expansion fluid is sucked from inside the expansion part 23 so that the expansion part 23 is contracted, thereby allowing the balloon 12 to be movable to the outside of the balloon-housing tube 22. |
