PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of a rod pipe for fishing rods, capable of easily polishing a peripheral surface in high accuracy.SOLUTION: A rod pipe 10 of a prescribed shape is formed by winding a prepreg around a metal core 2 followed by heat baking, and then grinding a peripheral surface 10a of the rod pipe 10 with the metal core, and the core is removed thereafter. The rod pipe is formed into a prescribed shape with an axially changing thickness by parallelly winding the sheet-like prepreg around the metal core 2 while having a constant thickness, and grinding the peripheral surface 10a of the rod pipe 10. In the end of the rod base side, the number of winds of the prepreg is larger by one than the number of winds corresponding to a designed thickness. |
