The invention relates to a circlip (200) for securing a transmission component against axial displacement, wherein said circlip (200) in the circumferential direction (U) has an opening (201) at which the ends of the circlip are formed with limbs (210, 220) pointing radially (R) outwards. It is provided that the limbs (210, 220) are formed with a clamping mechanism (222, 228) which can push the limbs (210, 220) apart in the circumferential direction (U) and can thus clamp the circlip (200) in a defined manner in the installed position. The invention furthermore relates to a transmission system with such a circlip (200). |
