PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce external components of an overcurrent protection circuit.SOLUTION: An overcurrent protection circuit 106 includes: a source current generating section 11 for generating source current Isource according to output current Io to be monitored using a current mirror incorporated into a semiconductor device 100; a sink current generating section 12 for generating constant sink current Isink using a constant current source incorporated into the semiconductor device 100; a capacitor 13 which is externally attached to the semiconductor device 100 and is charged and discharged by difference current Icap between the source current Isource and the sink current Isink; and a comparator 14 which is incorporated into the semiconductor device 100, compares a charging voltage Vcap of the capacitor 13 with a predetermined threshold voltage Vth, and generates an overcurrent protection signal S1.
