PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for applying glue onto labels, which is a glue application device reducing the requirements in respect of accuracy about the position between a glue drum and a glue scraper.SOLUTION: A glue application unit is arranged relative to a drum 2 in such a way that glue present in the glue application unit contacts the drum 2 in a predetermined contact area. The glue application unit 2 includes a first wall member 12, which contacts the drum 2 during operation, as well as a second wall member 14, which is arranged behind the first wall member 12 in a direction of movement of the drum 2 and which also contacts the drum 2. At least one of the wall members 12, 14 is elastically pressed against an external surface 2a of the drum. |
