A travel zone line recognition device comprises: an image acquisition device (3) that acquires an image (105) containing a road surface (103) in front of a vehicle (101); and a processor (image recognition device) that processes the acquired image. Within the acquired image, the processor adds blurriness to a range containing the road surface, and recognizes a travel zone line (107) from the image with blurriness added. Upon adding the blurriness, an intermittent double travel zone line contained in the imaged image is capable of being made unclear, so it is possible to prevent the recognized travel zone line from becoming a discontinuous, incoherent line.
