PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support system and program for making a vehicle driver appropriately recognize a notification to the vehicle driver.SOLUTION: A driving support system, which includes a display, is mounted on a vehicle. If there is any target object whose distance from own vehicle is equal to or shorter than a predetermined distance, the driving support system refers to a registration date when the target object was registered in a database or an update date when information in the database was updated. If the referred registration date or update date meets a predetermined condition, the driving support system displays target icons 21, 22 showing corresponding target objects on a map image 31. In addition, the driving support system also displays an own vehicle icon 20 showing a travel position of the own vehicle on the map image 31. |
