PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire in which separation at an edge part of a protective ply can be restrained.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 1 includes reinforcing plies 141 to 144 of a plurality of layers arranged outside a carcass layer 13 in a radial direction of the tire, a belt cord have a higher elongation rate Sb than an elongation rate Sa of a belt cord constituting the reinforcing plies 141 to 144, a protective ply 145 arranged outside the reinforcing plies 141 to 144 in the radial direction of the tire having an edge part outside in the radial direction of the tire than an edge part of a widest reinforcing ply 142, and a deformation restraining ply 147 having a belt angle &thetas;c larger than a belt angle &thetas;b of the protective ply 145, arranged to cover an edge part of the protective ply 145 outside in a width direction of the tire from outside in the radial direction of the tire (reffer to Fig.1 and Fig.2). |
