PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that improves dust detection sensitivity of a dust detector while suppressing cost.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower 2 that generates suction wind; a dust detector 5 that detects dust suctioned by the suction wind of the electric blower 2; a determinator 55 to determines a dust amount level of a cleaned surface by a signal of the dust detector 5; a controller 20 that performs switching control of power supply to the electric blower 2, wherein when the controller 20 performs the switching control of the power supply to the electric blower 2, the determinator 55 performs control not to sum up a signal of the dust detector during at least one given time of a given time from ON of the switching and a given time from OFF of the switching, thereby the detector 5 can achieve a composition without malfunction by the switching improving dust detection sensitivity at low cost. |
