A massager and a method for dealing with motor blockage thereof. The method comprises: the massager detects whether the motor is blocked (S11), and adjusts the gear of motor to the highest gear and then reverses the motor if the motor is blocked (S12). The massager includes a detection unit (31) used for detecting whether the motor is blocked and a reversion unit (32) used for adjusting the gear of motor to the highest gear and then reverse the motor when the motor is blocked. The technical solution provided by the invention is of advantage to increase the reliability of the massager.
