PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting machine capable of performing the fore-edge cutting processing and top-edge/tail-edge cutting processing of a booklet by a simple mechanism and obtaining a favorable cut surface of a spine side during top-edge/tail-edge cutting.SOLUTION: A cutting machine for performing both fore-edge cutting processing and top-edge/tail-edge cutting processing by a linear cutting blade 121 the blade of which is inclined toward the paper surface of a booklet B includes a cutting unit for cutting the edge of the booklet B by the cutting blade 121, a conveyance unit for changing the direction of the booklet B to the cutting blade 121 so as to switch the edge of the booklet B cut by the cutting blade according to the execution of the fore-edge cutting processing and the top-edge/tail-edge cutting processing, and a preprocessing unit 200 for forming, when the cutting blade 121 inclines to cut the booklet B from the opposite side of a spine H during the top-edge/tail-edge cutting processing, a cut in a direction for cutting the spine H by the cutting blade 121 at the abutting position of the spine H on the cutting blade 121 before the spine H abuts on the cutting blade 121. |
