The generator (10) has a stator having stator windings (21R-21T) formed as three-phase alternating current windings connected in y-shape and a rotor having an excitation winding (40). The rotor generates the fail-safe energization component when the direct current is supplied by a rectifier (30) to the excitation winding, to generate a minimum current in the stator winding, independent of externally supplied excitation current.
