PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode material which has excellent conductivity while using an olivine type silicate compound, and is capable of sufficiently enhancing battery performance.SOLUTION: A cathode active material complex for a secondary battery is secondary particles which are obtained from an olivine type silicate compound as primary particles having an average particle diameter X of 20-200 nm and conductive carbon having an average particle diameter Y equal to or smaller than the average particle diameter X, and have a tap density of 0.8-2.5 g/cmand an average particle diameter Z of 5-50 μm.
