PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-lens camera apparatus capable of highly accurately performing a recognition (range-finding) process even under complicated situations at high speed.SOLUTION: A multi-lens camera apparatus includes: a plurality of imaging units 10 and 20 including optical filters 12 and 22 and image pickup devices; and image processing means 30 to perform image processing on captured images that each image pickup device has acquired via each optical filter 12 and 22. At least one of the optical filters includes an area 12b having first optical characteristics same as characteristics of other optical filters, and an area 12a having second characteristics different from the first optical characteristics. The image processing means 30 executes different types of image processing on a first image area depending on the first optical characteristics and a second image area depending on the second optical characteristics in the plurality of captured images that each image pickup device has acquired. |
