PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material favorable in both heat resistance and storage stability.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal recording material comprising a leuco dye and a developer, and developing color by simultaneously heating both dye and developer. The developer contains bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl acetate and a diphenylsulfone derivative represented by formula (1).
