PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for an internal combustion engine, capable of achieving the optimum combustion mode in accordance with an operating condition of the internal combustion engine, even when in-cylinder injection is divided into a plurality of times.SOLUTION: An electronic control device applied to an internal combustion engine performing fuel injection from a direct injection injector a plurality of times per one combustion cycle of the internal combustion engine sets a first target fuel injection amount Qd1 regarding the fuel injection in a compression stroke having the highest priority from among the plurality of fuel injection strokes to a required value in accordance with an engine operating condition, performs fuel injection of the fuel for the first target fuel injection amount Qd1 in the compression stroke when performing the fuel injection of the fuel for a required fuel injection amount Qfin from the direct injection injector in the fuel injection stroke of the plurality of times, and performs the fuel injection of the fuel for a portion not fully injected by the fuel injection in the compression stroke out of the fuel for the required fuel injection amount Qfin in accordance with a predetermined sharing rate by the division into an intake stroke second half and an intake stroke first half. |
