PURPOSE: A display device and a UI providing method of the display device can perform a process smoothly when sharing a UI provided to a shared display device through a plurality of control devices. CONSTITUTION: A UI generating unit (120) generates a UI for operating an executed application program. A communication unit (130) receives a control signal to select the UI from a plurality of control devices having a control class. A control unit (140) determines whether a control device which transmitted the control signal has a control authority to select the UI based on the control class. The control unit operates the application program according to the control signal when the control device has the control authority.
