PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a novel disease diagnosis method and a novel disease diagnosis device for executing the disease diagnosis method, by clarifying correlations between the amounts and changes of amino acid stereoisomers and diseases through total analysis of amino acid stereoisomers.SOLUTION: A disease sample analysis device includes means which separates and quantifies amino acid stereoisomers in a biological material of a subject, means which substitutes amounts of amino acid stereoisomers in a discriminant and performs calculation to obtain disease state index values, and means which outputs disease state information of the patient on the basis of disease state index values. The discriminant is (a disease state index value)=(a measurement value of amino acid stereoisomers correlated with a disease out of measurement values of amino acid stereoisomers in the biological material of the subject)/(a reference value of those in a biological material of a healthy person), or the like. The disease sample analysis method includes a step of measuring amounts of amino acid stereoisomers in a biological material of a subject and a step of substituting the amounts of amino acid stereoisomers in the discriminant and performing calculation to obtain disease state index values.
