PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for bead apex capable of improving processability, low fuel consumption and breaking strength in good balance; and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for bead apex includes butadiene rubber modified with a sulfur compound, containing 70 mass% or more cis content, and having 30-120 of Mooney viscosity (ML, 100°C), silica and a silane coupling agent having a mercapto group. |
