The present invention provides a polymer particle comprising a polymer and a filler contained therein, wherein the polymer is soluble in an organic solvent and is also water insoluble, and wherein the polymer particle contains from 5 to 500 parts by weight of filler per 100 parts by weight of polymer, and a mean particle size of 75 mum or less. The invention also provides an aqueous dispersion including this particle; an aqueous fluororesin coating composition that uses this aqueous dispersion; and a fluororesin laminate or layered coating having a layer obtained from this fluororesin coating composition.
