The exhaust gas after treatment device has a control unit (53) for controlling a pump (2) in two opposite directions, where the pump promotes a urea-water solution from a tank (1) to a nozzle (70) by the urea-water channel (57) in a direction (20), where the nozzle injects the urea-water solution in an exhaust stream (18). The urea-water channel has a gas collecting pocket (56) between the nozzle and the pump, where a gas, promoting in the direction by the pump, is set under pressure in the gas collecting pocket. An independent claim is included for a method for exhaust gas after treatment.
