PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell that inhibits reduction of an air electrode of each of fuel cell unit cells while executing a shutdown stop.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell (1) includes: a fuel cell module (2); a fuel supply device (38); a water supply device (28); an oxidant gas supply device (45); a vaporizing section (20a) that produces water vapor; a reformer (20) that reforms fuel with the water vapor; and a controller (110) that controls extraction of power from the fuel supply device (38), the water supply device (28), the oxidant gas supply device (45), and the fuel cell module (2). In a state in which a fuel cell stack is above an oxidation preventive temperature, the controller (110) executes a shutdown stop in which fuel supply and power generation is stopped. The controller (110) executes such control that a predetermined amount of water is stored in the vaporizing section (20a) at the shutdown stop. After the shut down stop, the controller (110) executes an exhaust process so as to emit fuel, which has flown out of a fuel electrode, from the fuel cell module (2). |
