PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell that executes a shutdown stop while sufficiently inhibiting oxidation of fuel cell unit cells.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell (1) includes: a fuel cell module (2); fuel supply means (38); water supply means (28); power generation oxidant gas supply means (45) that supplies oxidant gas to an oxidant gas electrode side of a fuel cell stack; a reformer (20); a dispersion chamber (66) that disperses and supplies reformed fuel to a fuel electrode side of each of fuel cell units; and control means (110). Shutdown stop means (110a) provided in the control means (110) stops fuel supply by the fuel supply means (38) and extraction of power from the fuel cell module (2), and also controls the water supply means (28) in such a manner that water continues to be vaporized, so as to prevent a decrease in pressure on the fuel electrode side of a fuel cell stack. |
