摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control device capable of accurately and immediately determining rapid deceleration of a vehicle and carrying out downshift control for inhibiting excessive reduction in a vehicle speed or an engine rotational speed.SOLUTION: When carrying out downshift control during a deceleration period of a vehicle by following a shift line preliminarily set in a shift map, a shift control device calculates a brake system brake force Fbased on a brake pedal stroke ST (or master cylinder pressure) by an operation of a driver and also calculates a drive system brake force Fto calculate a total brake force Ffrom the brake system brake force Fand the drive system brake force F. The shift control device includes, as the shift map, a normal traveling shift map to be used during a normal traveling period and a rapid deceleration shift map to be used for rapid deceleration of the vehicle. The shift control device selects either the normal traveling shift map or the rapid deceleration shift map, based on the total brake force F, to carry out the downshift control by following the selected shift map.
