A liquid saving flow control device fitted between a supply source (20) and a dispensing means (22), said device comprises: a housing (102) divided by a partition wall (117) into a front chamber (110) and a rear chamber (108), an ingress means (24) for connection to the supply source (20) and an egress means (26) for connection to the dispensing means (22); a floating element (14) disposed inside said rear chamber (108); said partition wall (117) provided with a main connection (118) and a pilot passage (116); and a valve adapted to be positioned selectively in an inoperative and two operative configurations, wherein in inoperative configuration, said valve allows passage of liquid from the rear chamber (108) to the front chamber (110), and in first operating configuration, it vents air locked in the upper portion (15) of the rear chamber to discharge and in second operative configuration, it blocks the egress means (26) and connects the pilot passage (116) to the main connection (118) for equalizing pressure between the front and rear chambers and allowing the floating element to float up in the rear chamber. |
